Sea Ranch Residence

Located in the foothills east of Highway 1, this new redwood clad residence is organized around a loggia with a solarium at its center. The open modernist floor plan at the main level serves as a counterpoint to the more private dormitories on the second floor.Flanking the solarium, two gable roofs echo the pine and redwood trees that dot the gently sloping site. The detached garage combines with the house structure to create an “edge” to the hillside that providing a level terrace entry.
