Burke Museum

Baker Vilar Architects, in collaboration with Academy Studios (exhibit designers), designed the display cases for the rare Native-American artifacts that the Washington University’s Burke Museum showcased. Our task was to design display cases that would meet the unique and demanding requirements for maintaining dry and dust-free environments for the preservation of these special and valuable historic artifacts. We were also given the task of modifying the existing displays to create a unified experience. To address the need to reduce shipping costs from the fabrication facility, a modular system was devised.
