This design for the modernization of the existing Building A at Richmond High School included a seismic retrofit; complete mechanical and electrical systems; new interior layout, fixtures, and finishes; new exterior finishes; new door and window openings; addition of covered walkway and small kitchen addition; and site and landscape improvements as required to convert the existing building, originally an auto shop that had been converted to three classrooms, into a new Health Center, Child Care, and Adolescent Parent Program classroom.This design incorporated CHPS (Collaborative for High-Performance Schools) criteria and was registered to be CHPS-verified.Watch Animation of All Proposed RHS Campus Improvements
